Bud Sponseller's what do I want to be when I grow up?! July 25, 1999 I have been married to Carol since 1983. Between the two of us we have three sons and one daughter, and 6 plus one(The oldest boy, Scott is living with a nice lady and her daughter for the last year+.) granddaughters. We have two dogs, Oscar a deaf Dalmation, who I taught hand signs and Spike, a 185 pound Great Dane who thinks he is a lap puppy. We moved to Colorado in 1989. Carol works for Hewlett-Packard and I worked for the Hoover Company for about 23 years in numerous Engineering and Management positions. I then was Manager of the plastics engineering and technical support group for Teledyne Water Pik for 6 1/2 years. I then did Sales and Engineering for Trend Technologies a custom plastic molder for over 3 years. I have been Director of Sales and Engineering for Intertech Plastics, Inc. since February of 1999. We also have a home in Idaho north of Sandpoint. Since I got out of Hoover High I have done kayaking, rafting, mountain climbing, extreme wilderness backpacking, and camping all year round. We have visited 45 of the 50 states on vacations. Carol tore up her knee at our Haunted House in October of 1997 and had to have surgery. This slowed us up a little and we haven't done any white water stuff or mountaineering since then. Now we go camping or hang out in the back yard by the pool when we aren't going to rodeos or stock car races. We just finished bottling 6 different microbrews and are working on numerous wines to give away at Christmas time. We have run Haunted Houses since 1991. Carol has had some articles written about her special effects makeup and she has had numerous articles published in national magazines. It is a lot of fun and we bought a 1960 Cadillac Hearse in the summer of 97. It is great fun to drive it around to car shows and just go crusin'. It is white with red, yellow and orange flames on the front, is 22 feet long, has a coffin in the back with a full size corpse in it. It will be featured on the cover of a new CD coming out this year. We are both still active in the Boy Scouts on the Outdoor Program Committee. We have both served on numerous Wood Badge training courses around the country, gone to Philmont and National Jamborees. I have been in the Boy Scouts for 45 years, first as a scout and then as Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster and am currently on the Executive Board for Long's Peak Council which covers northern Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. I have taught college courses in advanced plastics technology, been Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, written articles about plastics, written some software and do consulting in plastics.
